From #81 Kristy and Mr. Mom:
Watson and Charlie have little punch games and they watch football and eat popcorn! NAWW. This makes me smile. ♥
Also, Thomas kids just generally being awesome and helping Watson get his car out of a snowed-in driveway. ♥
“On the count of three,” Sam said, huffing, as we rocked the car back and forth.
“One, two—”
We didn’t even reach three. The car bumped up over the snow drift and coasted the rest of the way down the icy drive. At the bottom, Charlie put on the emergency brake and hopped out, holding the door for Watson.
Watson was still standing back where the car had been stuck. He took a crisp white handkerchief out of his suit pocket and dabbed at the sweat on his brow. I noticed that his face was still flushed. I made a mental note to tell Mom to urge him to take it easy.
Then he picked up his briefcase and smiled at the three of us. “Thanks, kids. I guess I’ve gotten a little out of shape. Too much time at the computer terminal and not enough time in the fresh air.”
“No kidding,” Charlie punched him playfully on the shoulder. “Why are you going to work on Saturday, anyway?”
“We’re opening a new branch office in Houston and I need to go over the architectural plans.” Watson smiled as he settled into the driver’s seat and buckled up. “Don’t worry, I haven’t become a workaholic. I’ll be home in time for the football game this afternoon. And remember, Charlie, it’s your turn to make the popcorn.”

“What’s wrong?” Claire asked. She looked as if she were about to cry.
I grabbed her hand. “Nothing is wrong. Mary is going to have a baby,” I said. “And Mary Anne is going to go for help.”
“Dad has a cell phone,” reported Mary Anne. “They work even if the electricity is out, don’t they?”
Oh, Mary Anne ♥ Your innocence and confusion is adorable.

“Hi Jesserina!” Mr. Pike called out. (Get it? Jessi plus ballerina? Grown-ups can be so corny.)
LOL Mr. Pike, omg. ♥
Also, because this entire scene is awesome:

This tiny but meaningful interaction between Nicky and his mom makes me squee. It's the little moments that make you realize that the Pikes really do look out for all their kids. :)
Back at the Pikes’ house, things were as hectic as before. The only difference was Mrs. Pike had come home.
“There’s my Nicholas,” she smiled.
She gave her son a quick kiss on the cheek and kneaded his slumping shoulders.

A lot of things annoy me about ghostie-written!Dawn, but her relationship with her brother does not. These two are adorable, and there's so many moments between them in #77 that make me so happy. This particular one is the best.
I CANNOT HANDLE HOW CUTE THIS IS.
I was sick of normal people. Dad deserved someone better than that. Someone like Carol.
I looked at Jeff. He looked at me. I knew we were thinking the same thing.
“We’ve got to get Carol and Dad back together,” I said aloud.
Jeff put up his hand, and we gave each other the high-five.
I CANNOT HANDLE HOW CUTE THIS IS.
#92 Mallory's Christmas Wish

There are so many amazing Pike family moments in this book, but here is one of my favorites...
( The Pikes' version of 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' )
I have always wondered who said what! Of course it's obvious that day 6 was Claire, and it's canon that day 12 was Nicky, but the others could really go either way. I'm guessing that "7 bologna-and-peanut-butter sandwiches" was supposed to be "salami-and-peanut-butter sandwiches" (since that comes up in several books), so that was probably Jordan. I think "four crawling nerds" could have been Mallory and "three stooges" was probably one of the triplets. Maybe "ten bags of Snickers" was Byron? As far as "some garbage in a bare tree".... maybe they were all arguing over who got to start the song, so Dee started the carol?
